Super Mario Bros. Wonder has received a few discounts since launching last holiday, but Walmart’s current deal is the best yet. Until July 11, or when it sells out, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is on sale for $45 (was $60). The deal is part of Walmart’s massive new sales event that’s running this week ahead of Amazon’s annual Prime Day sale. The stellar Mario platformer is just one of the Nintendo Switch games you can get for a great price right now.
The 2D platformer brought Mario back to his roots while also tossing in heaps of new content to explore–including game-altering Wonder effects and the hilarious Elephant power-up.
Our Super Mario Bros. Wonder review gave it a superb 9/10, thanks to its fun multiplayer, inventive stage types, and a large degree of freedom and customization.
“Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a bold choice for a name,” critic Steve Watts wrote. “It plants a flag in the ground that suggests anything less than a constant sense of awe and delight will be a failure by its own terms. But then, surprisingly, Mario Wonder rises to the challenge and the result is a modern classic.”
Along with Super Mario Bros. Wonder, you’ll find great deals on several other Nintendo Switch exclusives at Walmart. Super Mario Maker 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are discounted by 50%, dropping the price for each to only $30.
You can also get a pair of Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers bundled with Super Mario Party for only $69, which is less than Joy-Con controllers sell for regularly as a pair. And if you want a spare Nintendo Switch for portable play or are looking for a nice gift, Walmart’s Animal Crossing-themed Nintendo Switch Lite bundle is only $159 (was $200) during the sale.
