Nintendo released the Nintendo Switch Lite: Animal Crossing Edition during the holiday season last year, giving the compact handheld a stylish new design that was available in either pink (exclusive to Target) or blue (exclusive to Walmart). Fast forward to today, and the blue system is getting its first-ever discount. After adding the Nintendo Switch Lite: Timmy & Tommy’s Aloha Edition to your cart at Walmart, the price will drop to just $179 (down from $200). It has an adorable Animal Crossing design and comes with a digital copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. As such, this is arguably the best Switch Lite deal we’ve ever seen at a major retailer.
Nintendo Switch Lite: Timmy & Tommy Aloha Edition
$179 (was $200)
Only the blue version is eligible for this discount. The pink version was temporarily discounted at Target, but it has since sold out. That means there’s a strong possibility this one will sell out too–so you’ll need to move fast to cash in on this impressive deal. Keep in mind that you won’t see the final price until you add it to your cart, at which point it should drop to $179.
This version of the Switch Lite doesn’t just feature cute Animal Crossing artwork through its chassis (including white artwork on the back and a small icon on the front), but you also get a download code for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. And since New Horizons typically retails for $60, you’re essentially getting a Switch Lite for $120.
That’s a remarkable deal, though it’s all but guaranteed to sell out. The pink Switch Lite that’s exclusive to Target is already sold out.
The Switch Lite is always a great option for frugal shoppers, as it lets you play all the same games as its more expensive cousins yet clocks in at a fraction of the price. And now that you can get it for $180, there’s little reason to pass it up.
If it does go out of stock, be sure to take a look at the Nintendo Switch OLED Model, which is also on sale at Walmart. Typically sold for $350, you can get your hands on the premium console for just $309. Along with a much larger screen than Switch Lite, you can actually dock this one and connect it to your TV.
